Recreational Fishing

The Recreational Fishing Program introduces young keen anglers to the basic skills of rigging, casting, knot tying and baiting.  The program requires students to make regular decisions around water safety identifying weather patterns and tidal movements when planning for a fishing trip. The ability to find correct locations for fishing when identifying weather/wind patterns as well as identifying potential hazardous environments, such as piers and rock fishing locations, these are all critical skills to become lifelong learners.

Alamanda is supported by local businesses such as Hooked on Bait and Tackle who provide educational support and expertise throughout the program.
